M  ount Vernon Baptist Church is open to all people who love God and want to lead lives that glorify Him. We believe that this is a great opportunity for people to share God with others 24/7/365 while also bringing joy to readers and Members with their life experiences through Christ. We are interested in your stories and pictures from mission trips etc.. that you have taken. If you are interested in submitting something to be published on the website, we are glad that you would like to share with the world how God is working in your life. That is, after all, our greatest challenge and God's greatest desire, that He know all people from all nations and that He share an intimate relationship with each and every person. Jesus died for us all, and did not discriminate, so neither do we. There are a few guidlines that we ask of you in submitting your photos or stories and they are as follows:

  1. Anyone may submit a story, testimony or photograph for publication. All submissions are reviewed by the pastor and the webmaster before approval
  2. All submissions must be biblical and follow the guidlines set forth for publication
  3. Mount Vernon will do our best to approve all submissions, but that may not always be the case. Please do not be discouraged if your submission was not published. By opening this up to more than just Members, We may not be able to publish all submissions. Space is limited.

Now, in order to submit a story or photograph, you must do a couple of things: For stories or testimonies

  1. Please send in Microsoft Word Format (.doc) or straight text in an email to pastor@mountvernon.org and webmaster@mountvernon.org
  2. You must also provide contact information for yourself so that we may contact you if we need to. Contact information includes full name and telephone number and Area you are from (city, State).
  3. You must include a subject line in your email that reads: STORY or TESTIMONY for submission
  4. If possible, please keep all stories, captions, and testimonies to a single page, double spaced, or no more than 500 words. If we are to publish as many as we are able, we will need space. Any submission that is just too long, will not be published based only on Space restrictions.
  5. Based on popularity and the number of Submissions we have, stories and testimonies will be kept on the Approved Submissions page for no less than 1 week, and no more than 1 month.
  6. All Submissions will be archived and available for future posts if required.
For Photographs:
  1. Please send all photographs in an email to pastor@mountvernon.org and webmaster@mountvernon.org
  2. You must also provide contact information for yourself so that we may contact you if we need to. Contact information includes full name and telephone number and Area you are from (city, State).
  3. You must provide a story to go along with the photographs that includes the trip details, the reason for the trip, and captions for all photographs
  4. You must include a subject line in your email that reads: PHOTOGRAPHS for Submission
